History of Blahutovice [ History ]

The village is for the first time reminded in 1499, in Czech as Blahustowicze. It was a part of Hranice's demense of lords of Pernštejn. Jan of Pernštejn sold in the 16th century town Hranice even with villages Blahutovice and Polouvsí to Václav Haugwic from Biskupice and then the owners were quickly changed.
To the last before-White-mountain owner Václav Moll from Modřilice the estates Hranice and Drahotuše were confiscated and to the village Blahutovice with whole the demense of Hranice became a confiscated property of bishop and cardinal František of Ditrichštejn.
The village was after the Thirty Years' War account on depopulation and new population Germanized (in German Blattendorf). The main way of living was agriculture, cattle breeding. Since 1905 there were cement factory and saw-mill in the village. On the streams there used to stand two mills.
The village Blahutovice has been since 1850 up to the present day part of judicial and political district Nový Jičín.
It was assigned to a parish in Jeseník in Nový Jičín's deanship. School in Blahutovice is for the first time mentioned in 1795, Czech one was founded after 1945, nowadays it is in terms of
integration with Jeseník nad Odrou disestablished. After World War II a collective farm was founded in 1949, it became a part of Collective farm Jesenicko, nowadays winding up.
A matter of interest was finding of remains of pre-historic settlement (fireplace, tools) in the field west of the village, inhabitation of agricultural Danubian people which was explored by
well-known archaeologist professor K. J. Maška (deposited in museum in Nový Jičín and Brno).

In the sealing field of village typer acquired in 1766 there was displayed view of schematic grounds and two village houses over which three birds are floating.
