PRIMER - impregnating dispersed paints -

PRIMERY are water-based primers on the basis of acrylate and styrene-acrylate dispersions, designated for impregnation of suction surfaces prior to application of dispersed paints, glues and cements. Their use ensures unification of the surface suction capacity, increase of the base surface strength and increase of coherence of subsequent layers with the surface. It is made in two versions.

Use: PRIMER V is used for coatings in both, interiors and exteriors, especially under the internal wall coatings and under facing materials. PRIMER B is a product with excellent penetration effect and high resistance to effects of humidity that is used for impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete structures and floors, asphalt-based eternity, concrete and burnt roofing and roof casing and other building materials.

Properties:
Density: 1,03-1,06 kg per liter
Volume solids: 38 - 45 %

Surface preparation: The surface needs to be dry, free of any mechanical or greasy impurities and old coating residues, not cohesive to the surface. Old roofing (e.g. eternity) is to be free of moss and lichen, most suitably by proper chemical agent and mechanical removal of vegetable remains.

Paint application: PRIMER is to be thinned with water in ratio of 1:4 before use. It is to be applied with a brush, tar brush or spraying in such layer that allows a proper soak of the material into the surface. Surface with high suction capacity can be impregnated with double coating. The temperature of air and surface for the application and paint drying should not fall below +5 °C. Next layers can be applied after a perfect dry-off of the impregnation coating, not earlier than in 4 hours.

Spreading rate: 20 - 40 m2 per kg and coating

Packaging and storing: Packages with weight of 0,5 - 35 kg. It is to be stored in original packages at the temperature ranging from +5 to +25 °C, minimum storage life of 12 months after the production date. The product must not freeze.

Safety and hygiene: The PRIMER does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. However, it can cause mucosa irritation to sensitive people and in case of more often contact with the skin, it could invoke adverse effects. Use personal protective equipment and follow the personal hygiene principles when working with the paint. When spraying the paint, use respiratory protection, ensure proper ventilation in closed working areas. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes properly with large volume of clean water and seek a medical treatment.
